Suggestions on selling:

Pricing: You choose your own pricing so you can decide if you want to give discounts to your customers. We suggest selling our silver at 20% - 30% off the printed catalog price. Typically retail customers are more willing to buy if a discount is offered.

 

Catalogs: Catalogs are great sales tool for selling silver. Catalogs can be brought to home parties and given out to customers to browse through at their own convenience. To avoid wasting money on catalogs without making a sale,  we recommend selling our catalogs to your potential customer and give them a credit when they place their order. Catalogs are printed with retail pricing, priced at 2x base wholesale cost, for example if an item is priced at $50.00 in our catalog, your base wholesale cost would be $25.00. Our company information is only listed on the first two pages and the last two pages of the catalog, if giving catalogs to your customers you will want to remove these pages so your customers do not contact us directly.

 

Sample pieces: We recommend purchasing a starting inventory. If you are not interested in our starter package you can purchase individual items separately. Having even a small inventory to start with is a very good sales tool because your potential customers get to see the quality of the items first-hand. You can continue to expand your inventory as your business grows.  The more inventory you have the easier it is to make a sale, customers are not only able to see the merchandise, but they may also take it home with them the same day they purchase it. 

 

Sell Online: With today's times, practically everyone is online. You can create your own website,  or you can put your items on an already established website to get your business off the ground. A website is a great sales tool for selling, you can put your website address on business cards and pass them out to potential customers. Customers are then able to order from the comfort of their own home and will hopefully refer family and friends expanding your clientele without much effort.

How much can I earn selling?

You set your own pricing, therefore you have control over what you make off of each individual sale. Our catalog is priced at 2x base wholesale cost, meaning if an item in the catalog is priced at $30.00, you would pay $15.00 for it before any discounts, dropship charges, or shipping. If you purchase our starter package you would automatically start out with a 30% discount, making your cost drop down from $15.00 to $10.50. If you sell at the catalog prices you would be making a profit $19.50 or even if you offer a 20% discount to your customers you would still make $13.50, and that is only for one item. How do I get the Jewelry to my Customers?

There are a few different ways for your customer to receive their merchandise. You can choose the method that works best for you. You can also switch back and forth or use multiple methods depending on your customers requests.

 

My Customer has given me the money for their order, what should I do next?

There are a couple different ways of submitting your order to us. If you have multiple orders to submit, you can combine all the orders and send them to us via your Plum Island Silver wholesale account. By submitting your order in a bulk form you avoid individual dropship charges as well as multiple shipping charges. If you would rather us ship the merchandise to your customer we can do that as well. Orders would have to be entered online individually via your Plum Island Silver wholesale account. You would enter your customers information under the shipping information, enter the items they want to order, submit the order to us, and we take care of the rest. Dropship fee's and shipping charges will be applied to each order that ships to a different address than your own.

 

I would rather not collect money from my Customer, how can they place their order?

Some people do not want to go through the hassle of collecting money, wondering if checks are going to bounce or are not set up to take credit cards so they would rather have us take care of their orders and payments. Our sharkssilver.com affiliate program is designed so you don't have to collect any money, enter any orders online, or deliver any merchandise, we do it all for you! You can give your customers your affiliate web address, they place their order, we bill them, and we ship them the merchandise, one the sale has been finalized we send your profit's to you via your paypal account.

 

What if an item is out of stock?

If an item is out of stock when you place your order, you have the option to backorder that item. Our backorder program is a free service that we offer. If you decide to use our backorder service we will send you an email as soon as the item arrives back in stock. If you have an order to be shipped and one of the items that you had on backorder is in stock at the time of shipping, we will ship it with your outgoing order to save you money on shipping costs. You are only charged for items when they are shipped, we do not charge for any items that are not shipped. Shipping is determined by weight and value at the time of shipping, backorders will be charged shipping. The cheapest method to ship a backorder is first class mail with a small fee of $2.95. If you decide you no longer want an item held on backorder, you may call or email us at anytime to have it removed from a backorder status. Backordered items on average take 2-3 weeks to arrive back in stock, but some items can longer depending on production.
